SPARC’s Empowering Bonded Laborers project team participated in the 16th Participatory Course on Democracy and Human Rights, taking part in three days of powerful discussions, learning and collaboration aimed at equipping young leaders to promote peace and inclusion. The sessions brought together activists and youth advocates focused on practical approaches to protect vulnerable communities and strengthen civic engagement.
Through interactive dialogue and experience-sharing, the project team explored strategies to advance bonded labor empowerment, emphasising youth-led initiatives and community-based solutions. Participants examined how democratic principles and human rights frameworks can be applied locally to support inclusion, reduce exploitation and build resilient networks for social change.
SPARC’s involvement in the course reinforces its commitment to empower young people to become advocates for the rights of bonded labourers and to foster partnerships that amplify local efforts. By strengthening skills, networks and awareness, the project aims to translate the course’s discussions into concrete actions that advance bonded labor empowerment and inclusive peacebuilding in communities across Pakistan.
