Islamabad, 11 October 2025: Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq extended his congratulations to Member of the National Assembly Huma Chughtai after she received the Top 50 Women Global Award at a ceremony in Colombo on 9 October. The Speaker conveyed his best wishes and highlighted the significance of this international recognition for Pakistan.
Speaking on the achievement, the Speaker said that Huma Chughtai’s award acknowledges her sustained work in promoting human rights, empowering women and advancing better governance. He described the honour as a welcome recognition of her efforts and perseverance on issues that matter to Pakistani society.
The Speaker emphasised that the success of a Pakistani member of the National Assembly on the global stage brings pride to the nation and reflects the growing role of women in public life. He noted that women from Pakistan have demonstrated capability across sectors and have earned a respected image internationally.
