Shah Ahmad Noorani honoured in Islamabad as a special Anwar Raza edition and books are launched to preserve his legacy and promote Nizam e Mustafa action.

An event at the National Press Club Islamabad brought together scholars, political figures and journalists to unveil a special Anwar Raza quarterly edition and a collection of books commemorating the life and services of Shah Ahmad Noorani. The ceremony, chaired by Dr Colonel Muhammad Sarfraz Saifi, was held on the occasion of the leader’s death anniversary and highlighted Noorani’s long struggle for Tehreek-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat and the promotion of Nizam e Mustafa.

Speakers including former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Maulana Malik Mahboobur Rasul Qadri and Professor Dr Muhammad Asif Hazrovi paid tribute to Shah Ahmad Noorani as a powerful and effective voice for Pakistan and the wider Muslim world. They said the goal behind Pakistan’s creation was to implement the teachings of the Prophet in practice and that Noorani’s work remains a valuable part of both Islamic and national history.

Organisers explained that the special edition and accompanying books, published from Joharabad, document Noorani’s religious, political, social and national contributions. Eighteen earlier editions in this series have already been released, and the latest publications gather contemporary newspaper reporting to create an authenticated historical record for future generations.

Speakers warned that while electronic media dominates today, it cannot replace print as a permanent reference. They expressed concern that the decline of print media and the possible loss of digital archives could create a serious knowledge gap in Islamic literature. Strengthening the bond with books was described as an urgent necessity to preserve scholarship and the system of learning that sustains the community.

The programme also served as a majlis for the spiritual benefit of Shah Ahmad Noorani, with prayers requested for the elevation of his rank and for divine assistance to those working for the practical implementation of Nizam e Mustafa and the defence of the honour of the Prophet. Organisers emphasised that protecting the name and dignity of the Prophet remains a central objective of Noorani’s legacy.

Guests received copies of the new publications, and special presentation copies of the Anwar Raza album were handed to Professor Khalid Jilani Twana, Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Professor Ahmad Bakhsh Tugravi, Allama Gulzar Hussain Naeemi and Muhammad Afzal Butt. Other speakers at the event included Syed Muhammad Abdullah Shah Qadri, Professor Mohammad G A Haq Chishti, Professor Dr Hamza Mustafai, Allama Munir Alam Hazrovi, senior journalist Sardar Sultan Sikandar and a number of religious scholars and reciters who paid tribute to Shah Ahmad Noorani throughout the programme.

Organisers concluded by praying that the publications serve as a lasting tribute to Shah Ahmad Noorani and as a resource that encourages continued activism for the preservation of Islamic principles and the defence of the Prophet’s honour in Pakistan and beyond.
