AI Innovation to Enhance Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities

Islamabad: Shawaz Hussain, CEO of Stargaze AI, met with Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja in Islamabad to discuss a focused collaboration on AI accessibility aimed at empowering persons with disabilities. The meeting centered on practical steps to develop AI-driven tools that improve daily living and access to services for differently-abled people across Pakistan.

The two leaders explored launching projects that combine innovation and inclusion, including accessible interfaces, assistive technologies and scalable platforms that support features enshrined in the Disability Act. Emphasis was placed on aligning new solutions with the Act to ensure technology complements existing legal protections and enhances implementation on the ground.

Representatives from Stargaze AI highlighted how AI accessibility can be tailored to Pakistan’s context, noting potential benefits for education, mobility and digital access. Minister Khawaja underscored the government’s interest in partnerships that translate technological promise into measurable improvements for communities often left behind by mainstream digital rollout.
