District Police Officer Umar Khan Gandapur has assured residents and tourists that the security situation in Swat remains stable, with no immediate threats or causes for concern. Speaking at his office in Gulkada, DPO Gandapur emphasized the extensive security measures taken by police across the district.
He highlighted that a significant number of police personnel have been deployed in the mountainous regions, including Gwalirai, Dabsar, and other sensitive areas. According to DPO Gandapur, the police force is fully equipped and prepared to respond swiftly to any incident.
Ongoing search and intelligence-based operations are being conducted throughout the valley to maintain peace and stability. The DPO noted that he is personally monitoring the situation and reassured the public that everything is under control.
Addressing concerns about tourism, DPO Gandapur confirmed that all tourist destinations in Swat are safe and protected by strict security arrangements. He encouraged visitors from across the country to travel to Swat without hesitation, reiterating that ensuring peace in the region remains the police’s top priority.
The DPO also called upon local residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals to the nearest police station, underscoring the importance of community cooperation in maintaining security.
