Sweden’s Ambassador Alex, accompanied by representatives from the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan, visited Lahore to meet with Swedish companies operating in Pakistan, observing innovations in customer service technology, women’s economic participation in the cosmetics sector, and sustainable packaging production. The visits highlighted how Swedish firms are contributing to efficiency, empowerment, and environmental responsibility in Pakistan.
The delegation’s first stop was Qmatic, a Swedish company specializing in queue management and customer flow solutions. During the visit, Qmatic showcased its systems for improving the efficiency and experience of waiting lines in service environments, demonstrating how technology can streamline operations and reduce customer frustration.
At Oriflame Pakistan, the Embassy delegation learned about the company’s extensive network of brand partners, nearly 90 percent of whom are women. Embassy representatives praised Oriflame’s role in promoting women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship and sales opportunities, underscoring the company as a strong example of Swedish-Pakistani cooperation in fostering inclusive economic participation.
The final visit was to Tetra Pak Pakistan, where the delegation received a guided tour of the company’s end-to-end production process. Tetra Pak presented its efforts in sustainable packaging and innovation, highlighting practices aimed at reducing environmental impact while maintaining production quality.
The Embassy thanked Qmatic, Oriflame, and Tetra Pak for their hospitality and for illustrating the positive impacts of Swedish investment and collaboration in Pakistan. The visits reinforced the shared commitment to building stronger Sweden-Pakistan ties through innovation, partnership, and social responsibility.
