Tap Ball ICL final in Islamabad concluded with Wasim Sports winning on Nov 2; thousands attended and winners shared a PKR 500,000 prize fund.

The Tap Ball ICL edition one concluded in Islamabad on 2 November with a thrilling final at Bhutto Cricket Ground G-7 where Wasim Sports emerged victorious after a tense contest against Peshawar. The tournament, organised by the Muslim League N Youth Wing Islamabad, began on 29 October and drew large crowds from Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Thousands of cricket fans witnessed exciting action as national-level Tap Ball stars delivered memorable performances. Notable players who showcased their skills included Timor Mirza, Khurram Chakwalya, Fahad Mian Chuno, Chota Vicky, Ahsan Chitta, Ihtisham Satti, Ahsan Vir, Chota Fana, Achhi Butt, Sanam Iqbal Jhelum, Shahzeb Atash, Hasan Panda, Qadir Kashmiri, Shahnawaz Shani and Bahadur Lufti Karachi, each adding local flavour and competitive spirit to the event.

Wasim Sports’ captain Wasim Ijaz led his side with composure while open batter Sarmad Hamid of Jhelum, Fahad Mian Chuno, Nasir Pathan and Ihtisham Satti produced decisive contributions that secured the title. The final showcased the fast-paced excitement of Tap Ball and highlighted emerging talent from the region.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry attended the final as the guest of honour and presented awards along with former deputy mayor Chaudhry Rafat Javed Advocate and PML-N Youth Wing Federal Capital president and former union council chairman Syed Zaheer Ahmed Shah. The ceremony recognised standout players and teams for their performances throughout the tournament.

The event carried a total prize fund of PKR 500,000, with the first prize set at PKR 250,000 and the second prize at PKR 200,000. Awards were distributed on the ground at the conclusion of the match, underlining the organiser’s commitment to promoting Tap Ball at a national level.

CEO Haji Luqman Subhani and his team received appreciation from the federal minister for staging a successful national-level Tap Ball event that offered competitive opportunities to Islamabad and Rawalpindi youth. Haji Luqman Subhani also presented a Guest of Honor shield in recognition of the support that helped make the champion league a notable sporting occasion in the capital.
