Government teams have begun delivering compensation under the Tarlai Kalan relief package announced by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. On Sunday, Prime Minister Youth Programme focal person Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Yasir Nazir, visited the homes of the victims and handed out checks of fifty lakh rupees to each family of the martyrs, offering prayers and condolences as they met bereaved relatives.
Under the announced Tarlai Kalan relief amounts, families of the martyrs will receive fifty lakh rupees, those with severe injuries will receive thirty lakh rupees and those with minor injuries will receive ten lakh rupees, as declared by the prime minister. Officials said distribution of all compensation checks to martyrs’ families and the injured will be completed during the coming week.
Recipients and affected families in the Tarlai Kalan area expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and the federal government for the support, while officials emphasized that the relief process aims to provide timely financial assistance and comfort to those impacted.
