Taxila police arrest four-member gang in Rawalpindi, recover 12 motorcycles, 22 phones, cash and weapons; suspects to be presented in court.

Rawalpindi authorities said a targeted operation by Taxila police led to the arrest of a four-member gang accused of multiple dacoities and motorcycle thefts. The operation recovered 12 stolen and snatched motorcycles, 22 mobile phones of significant value, approximately Rs100,000 in cash and illicit weapons.

According to officials, Taxila police used a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence to trace and detain the suspects. Investigators said the gang disclosed more than 25 incidents across several districts during questioning, linking them to a string of robberies and thefts.

Police records indicate the arrested individuals were previously involved in cases of dacoity, theft and illegal possession of weapons in the twin cities. All recovered items have been secured and documented as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Senior Pothowar division officials confirmed the detainees will be challaned in court on the basis of solid evidence gathered during the operation. Rawalpindi Police spokesperson noted that the swift action aims to curb rising street crime and restore public confidence in local law enforcement.
