Professor Ahsan Iqbal told delegates at the Global Education Conference and International School Awards that teachers are the architects of the nation’s future, lighting minds and shaping generations. He said the teachers role goes beyond the classroom, forming the character and vision of tomorrow’s leaders.
The minister emphasized that education is the force that opens doors to economic stability, social justice and sustained development. He argued that policy continuity and making education a national priority can place Pakistan among developed countries within a decade, and that the Udaan Pakistan vision places investment in education, research and human capital at the heart of national progress.
Highlighting concrete areas for action, he renewed the government’s commitment to enhancing teachers’ dignity, training and professional standing. Strengthening the teachers role through better preparation and ethical leadership, he said, is essential because behind every successful individual stands a teacher whose guidance shapes opportunity and achievement.
He urged school leaders, policymakers and communities to recognize teachers as central to long-term development and called on citizens to honor those who connect the nation to knowledge, skills and light. The address underlined that sustained support for teachers is a strategic investment in Pakistan’s future.
