TEVTA 17th Board Meeting Approves 12 Development Schemes

The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) board, chaired by Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar SI(M) Retd., approved a package of development measures and adjustments to faculty compensation during its 17th emergent board meeting at the TEVTA Secretariat. The board endorsed all proposed development schemes and agreed to revise visiting faculty rates.

The meeting was presided over by Chairman Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar and attended by board members Prof. Abid H.K. Sherwani, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin (S.I), Mr. Khalid Rehman, Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, Ms. Irssa Faisal, Ms. Hafsa Naveed, and Mr. Ali Raza, who joined virtually. Representatives from the Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED) Punjab and the Finance Department Punjab were present, and Mr. Masood Anwar, Chief Economist of the Planning & Development Board, participated virtually.

TEVTA senior management also attended, including Chief Operating Officer Mr. Shahid Zaman Lak, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) lead for TEVTA, and all Director Generals. The board reviewed recommendations brought forward by the TEVTA Development Working Party.

As a result of the board’s deliberations, all 12 development schemes proposed by the Development Working Party were approved. The board also approved a proposal to revise rates for visiting faculty, a measure intended to update compensation terms for external teaching staff. The approved items will move forward for implementation under TEVTA’s administrative procedures.
