TEVTA Punjab trained 365 management and placement officers in a five-day program on career guidance, counselling and entrepreneurship, with support from the GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme, an initiative of Team Europe. A certificate ceremony for participants was attended by senior officials, who highlighted the training’s role in improving student placement through standardized skills education.
The program brought together 350 Institute Placement Officers, 10 District Placement Officers and five principals to strengthen their ability to advise students on career paths and entrepreneurial opportunities. Sessions focused on practical guidance and tools placement officers can use to support trainees transitioning from technical education into employment or business start-ups.
The training was delivered with technical and financial backing from the GIZ TVET Sector Support Programme under the Team Europe initiative, reflecting a collaborative effort to enhance the vocational education and training ecosystem in Punjab.
A certificate awarding ceremony for the participants was attended by Nadir Chattha, Secretary of the Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department Punjab, and Brig. Dr. Mansoor Zaib Khan, Head of the TVET Sector Support Programme, addressed the gathering as the keynote speaker.

He said the training will equip placement and management officers to provide more effective career guidance, ultimately improving employment outcomes for graduates.
