TEVTA has launched an unprecedented initiative to provide visiting faculty with modern, industry-based training aimed at enhancing their teaching and technical skills. This move is part of TEVTA’s broader commitment to aligning its educational programs with contemporary industry standards, ensuring that instructors are well-equipped to prepare students for today’s job market.
The training program, organized in collaboration with TVET Sector Support Programme (TVET SSP) and GIZ, is being delivered in four phases and will benefit a total of 171 visiting teachers. Two phases have already been completed, successfully training 71 instructors.
These training sessions are held within leading industry facilities, including Haier, Honda, Dawlance, and Sky Power Pvt. Ltd., offering participants hands-on, practical experience that directly reflects current industry methods and technologies.
Chairman TEVTA Brigadier Muhammad Sajid Khokhar (Retd.) attended the closing ceremony of the recent phase, where he presented certificates to high-achieving participants. Phase one of the initiative trained 25 teachers, followed by 46 teachers in phase two. The upcoming phases are set to train an additional 70 and 30 teachers, respectively, marking a milestone in the professional development of TEVTA’s visiting faculty.
Through this program, TEVTA aims to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and industry needs, thereby strengthening the overall quality of technical and vocational education.
