The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and a high-level Thai delegation have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening academic cooperation and student support. The recent visit by the Thai Ambassador to Islamabad, along with senior officials from Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center, highlighted opportunities to expand partnerships between Thai universities and IIUI.
University officials and the Thai delegation engaged in discussions aimed at deepening collaborative efforts in education. Key topics included promoting faculty and student exchange programs, undertaking joint research projects, and developing academic programs that address global societal challenges.
A significant part of the conversations focused on the welfare of Thai students studying at IIUI. Both sides agreed to enhance support systems to ensure these students’ academic experience and daily life are safe, convenient, and enriching. There was also an emphasis on nurturing cultural and educational activities to foster mutual understanding.
Additionally, the delegation and university leaders discussed intensifying cooperation between the Thai Embassy and IIUI. Plans were made to build stronger networks for Thai students and broaden collaboration with other higher education institutions in Thailand.
This visit reflects the shared dedication of Thailand and Pakistan to advancing education and cultural exchange, further solidifying the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
