The data includes not only apps downloaded into smartphones but also apps downloaded onto tablets, Chromebooks, and other devices such as smart TVs.

On the iOS platform, the app with the most downloads is TikTok, which has over 17 million downloads. CapCut is a close second, with 14 million downloads.

Next on the list is Instagram, followed by Google and Google Maps, each of which has 10 million downloads. However, the number of downloads for Google and Google Maps is not shown on the Android side because these apps come preinstalled on the device.

On the Android side of things, Instagram is at the top of the list with 38 million downloads, followed by four other social media apps: Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, and Snapchat, with Facebook having the greatest downloads among the four at 34 million downloads.

TikTok comes in at a distant second place with 10 million downloads. When the downloads from both platforms are combined, Instagram comes out on top of the list with more than 50 million downloads.

It is followed by TikTok, which has 47 million downloads, Facebook, which has 41 million downloads, WhatsApp, which has 34 million downloads, and CapCut, which has 28 million downloads.

Because it is the tool of choice for editing videos uploaded to TikTok, CapCut is useful on both iOS and Android.

The list also contains three apps for social media, one app for streaming music, one app for shopping, and one app for shopping.

On the list of social media applications, Telegram is at the top, followed by Snapchat and Messenger. Following those are Spotify and SHEIN, each of which have 20 million downloads.

Twitter, despite the fact that it is one of the most widely used social media platforms, did not make the list. In general, this list demonstrates how many social media platforms play an important role in the lives of Android and iOS users on a day-to-day basis.
