Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser, vice president of Bhuttoism International UK, paid tribute to Benazir Bhutto while addressing a ceremony held by the Bhuttoism International WhatsApp Group Core Committee at the Rawalpindi Press Club on the 18th death anniversary of the late leader. He said she regarded freedom of opinion as the true strength of democracy and took numerous steps to strengthen the parliamentary system, helping reinforce Pakistan’s global image.
Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser noted that Benazir Bhutto envisioned a Pakistan where the rule of law applied equally, institutions were robust, and citizens had access to basic facilities. He said justice, public service and national harmony were the cornerstones of her political philosophy and described her life as a symbol of struggle, passion and service to the people.
Speakers at the event included Pakistan Peoples Party Women Wing District General Secretary Saadia Abbasi, Mir Ismail Brohi, Rashid Islam Butt, Rabia Gujar, Sheikh Asim, Anwar Khan Jadun, Muhammad Yaseen Almani, Raja Parvez, Jahangir Butt, Raja Ashfaq Kiyani, Rehana Anjum, Kamran alias Gami, Jeend Awan and many party workers who attended to reaffirm their commitment to promote the political philosophy of Benazir Bhutto and to convey a message of unity, organization and continued struggle.
Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser explained that the objective of the Bhuttoism International WhatsApp Group is to eliminate discrimination among workers, ensure equal treatment for all party members and curb the undue influence of a few privileged individuals within power corridors.
He asserted that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the future prime minister of Pakistan and urged youth to mobilize in line with his vision. Speakers recalled how Benazir Bhutto stood firm against dictatorship, oppression and extremist politics, never compromising on democracy or the people’s right to rule, and consistently raised her voice for the poor and middle class. They stressed that the party’s manifesto and Benazir’s principles are urgently needed in the country today.
Participants also expressed full confidence in the political strategy of the party leadership, particularly President Asif Ali Zardari, praising his courageous and timely decisions in the national interest and calling for strengthened party organizations and mutual respect between leadership and workers as essential for political success.
At the close of the ceremony party workers reaffirmed their loyalty to the leadership and offered prayers for Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and all other martyrs.
