Tunisia Embassy joined the Rural Women Leadership conference with 500+ rural women and diplomats exchanging empowerment best practices for sustainable development.

The Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia to Pakistan took part in the 18th Conference on Training of Rural Women Leaders organized by the Potohar Development and Advocacy Organization (PODA), engaging directly with more than 500 rural women representing 94 governorates and 96 cities across Pakistan. The event provided a platform for grassroots participants and institutional actors to focus on Rural Women Leadership and local empowerment strategies.

Women diplomats accredited in Pakistan attended the conference and exchanged comparative experiences in women’s empowerment, sharing best practices aimed at increasing women’s participation in public life. Delegates discussed practical approaches to integrate rural women into development planning and to strengthen their role in sustainability initiatives, drawing on lessons from both local and international contexts.

The Tunisia Embassy’s delegation contributed to dialogues on policy and community-level interventions that can help translate training into measurable outcomes in rural Pakistan. Emphasis throughout the conference remained on scalable practices for Rural Women Leadership that support economic inclusion, civic engagement, and long-term sustainable development for rural communities.
