UMT SPP hosted a Knowledge Exchange workshop on research impact on January 23, 2026, guiding MS students and faculty to apply research in clinical practice.

On January 23, 2026, Dr. Amna Noureen led a session titled Knowledge Exchange Research to Impact at the Department of Clinical Psychology, School of Professional Psychology (SPP), University of Management and Technology (UMT). The workshop examined practical pathways for translating research into everyday clinical and professional settings and highlighted the importance of measurable research outcomes for patient care.

More than 70 participants attended the workshop, including MS students and faculty members from SPP. The gathering promoted active knowledge sharing and sustained dialogue, allowing participants to reflect critically on research design, evidence synthesis, and strategies to enhance research impact in local clinical contexts.

The session placed strong emphasis on turning research evidence into usable practice, encouraging attendees to consider implementation, adaptation, and evaluation methods that increase research impact in Pakistan’s mental health and professional services.

Enthusiastic participation and thoughtful engagement from students and faculty created a highly interactive environment, with discussions that connected academic inquiry to real-world clinical challenges and professional workflows.

At the conclusion of the workshop, a souvenir was presented to Dr. Amna Noureen by Prof. Masood Nadeem. Also present were Dr. Haziq Mehmood, Dean of the School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Taskeen, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, and Dr. Fauzia, Head of the Department of Applied Psychology.
