UN and NDMA Strengthen Flood Response Efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

United Nations Resident Coordinator Mohamed Yahya held a meeting with Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority, to evaluate the ongoing flood emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussions focused on the current situation and the immediate needs of affected communities in the region.

The United Nations, through its Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Pakistan, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the NDMA. The organization will assist in coordinating relief efforts to ensure that aid effectively reaches those most impacted by the floods. Both parties emphasized the importance of robust cooperation and timely assistance to address the challenges posed by the disaster.
