UN Women Pakistan met with Justice Amir Nawaz Rana of the Balochistan High Court to advance dialogue on women’s access to justice, emphasizing survivor-centered legal mechanisms and the Women Lawyers’ Retainer Initiative to strengthen local legal support.
The Women Lawyers’ Retainer Initiative is designed to empower women lawyers to champion survivors’ rights and ensure equitable, empathetic legal representation for all. By supporting legal practitioners and encouraging coordination with the judiciary, the initiative aims to translate principles of women’s justice into practical courtroom outcomes.
Through these partnerships UN Women continues to promote inclusive, gender-responsive justice across Balochistan, working with court leadership and legal stakeholders to build a safer, more equitable future for women and girls in the province.
