Uzbekistan parliamentary visit sees Speaker Ayaz Sadiq host Nuriddin Ismoilov in Islamabad for five days to boost legislative cooperation and regional ties.

Mr. Nuriddin Ismoilov, Speaker of Uzbekistan’s Legislative Chamber, arrived in Islamabad on the personal invitation of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. The parliamentary delegation is undertaking its first visit to Pakistan and will remain in the country for five days.

Syed Agha Rafiullah, convener of the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, gave a warm welcome to the guests upon arrival. During their stay the delegation will hold a series of important meetings with the Speaker of the National Assembly and other senior political leaders to explore avenues for legislative cooperation.

The Uzbekistan parliamentary visit will focus on strengthening parliamentary links and enhancing regional ties. Discussions are expected to cover collaboration in lawmaking, parliamentary exchanges and practical steps to deepen bilateral relations between Islamabad and Tashkent.

The visiting MPs will also meet members of the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Group and will visit historical and cultural sites in Pakistan, underscoring the cultural affinity that underpins relations between the two countries.

This Uzbekistan parliamentary visit is being viewed as a milestone in parliamentary diplomacy led by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and is aimed at reinforcing mutual respect, cultural harmony and shared values while contributing to peace and stability in the region.
