The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) has intensified efforts to combat air and noise pollution by conducting a vehicular emissions monitoring drive at T-Chowk on Islamabad Expressway. The initiative is part of a broader campaign to enforce national standards and protect public health.

During the operation, an Environmental Monitoring Team assessed vehicles for carbon monoxide emissions, smoke opacity, and noise levels to determine compliance with the National Environmental Quality Standards for Motor Vehicle Exhaust and Noise. The monitoring focused on educating motorists about the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and its impact on the environment.

Pak-EPA officials emphasized their commitment to routine roadside monitoring throughout Islamabad, aiming to strengthen regulatory enforcement and promote cleaner air across the city. Authorities encourage the public to cooperate with emission control efforts for a healthier and more sustainable urban environment.
