A seminar hosted at the State Bank of Pakistan in Multan brought together banking professionals and business community stakeholders to discuss strategies for creating harassment-free workplaces. Organized by the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH), the event highlighted the importance of awareness, strong legal frameworks, and collective responsibility in addressing workplace harassment.

During the seminar, FOSPAH representatives emphasized that changing workplace culture begins with awareness and education about harassment issues. Participants from the banking sector, along with members of the Chamber of Commerce, explored the critical role of both individuals and institutions in fostering a safer, more inclusive work environment.

Key topics included the legal protections available to employees facing harassment, the procedures for lodging complaints, and the importance of transparent mechanisms for addressing grievances. The seminar also underscored the shared responsibility of organizations and their staff in implementing effective policies and taking decisive action against all forms of workplace harassment.

By engaging stakeholders from both the financial and business sectors, the seminar aimed to promote a greater understanding of the laws and actions required to uphold respect and equality in Pakistan’s workplaces.
