Ms Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, attended World Science Day 2025 as the chief guest at the institution in Islamabad. She was warmly received by Brigadier (R) Dr Muhammad Hanif S.I. (M), the principal, along with faculty, and was taken on a comprehensive tour of the campus where officials provided a detailed briefing on academic programmes, infrastructure and initiatives aimed at promoting quality education.
During her visit Ms Farah Naz Akbar praised the institution’s sustained efforts to deliver quality education and its positive contribution to the local community. She commended the school’s focus on fostering scientific learning, innovation and creativity among students under the umbrella of the Ministry, noting that events like World Science Day help reinforce those priorities.
At the Science Exhibition arranged to mark World Science Day, students displayed innovative models and projects that drew close interest from the Parliamentary Secretary. She later visited the Junior Campus, planted a tree as a gesture of environmental responsibility and engaged warmly with the young learners, encouraging their curiosity and hands-on learning.
Ms Farah Naz Akbar reiterated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif the Government of Pakistan remains committed to advancing scientific education, research and innovation so that the youth are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to build a progressive, knowledge-based society.
The visit highlighted the role of schools in promoting STEM and environmental stewardship at the grassroots level and underscored continued support from the Ministry for initiatives that strengthen science education across Islamabad and beyond.
