WSSC Bannu Secures Provincial Backing

WSSC Bannu gains major funds as CM Sohail Afridi pledges support to improve water, sanitation and drainage in Bannu.

Sohail Afridi and Sikandar Hayat Khan held a detailed meeting to review the recent performance of WSSC Bannu and to discuss the developmental funds required to advance the city’s services. The conversation centred on improving water delivery, cleanliness and urban amenities across Bannu.

The Chief Minister praised WSSC Bannu for its excellent performance over the past three months and pledged to marshal all necessary resources to truly transform the city into a “Bannu Gul”. Officials said the provincial government will soon release billions of rupees to finance projects focused on beautification, sanitation, clean water supply and related development initiatives.

A survey has been completed to identify the measures needed to upgrade Bannu’s drainage system, and WSSC Bannu will lead coordination with provincial departments to implement recommendations. Chief Minister Afridi assured Chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan of both funding and operational support to ensure timely execution of planned works.

Accepting an invitation from Chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan, the Chief Minister also promised to visit Bannu very soon to inspect progress in person. Local officials expect the combined provincial backing and WSSC Bannu’s recent momentum to deliver visible improvements to public health and urban living standards.
