Young Lawyers Association Delegation Visits Parliament House Islamabad

A 57-member delegation from the Young Lawyers Association, comprising students and faculty members, visited the Parliament House in Islamabad to gain firsthand insights into Pakistan’s legislative process and parliamentary traditions. The delegation received a warm welcome from senior Senate officials, who provided an overview of the country’s parliamentary history, the legislative process, and the crucial role played by the Senate.

During their visit, the group toured the Senate Museum, where they viewed a comprehensive documentary highlighting the evolution of the Senate, its constitutional significance, parliamentary customs, and detailed explanations of the lawmaking procedures. The delegation also explored ‘Gali Dastoor,’ an area showcasing Pakistan’s constitutional background through historic documents, photographs, and depictions of pivotal national moments.

The visit continued with a briefing inside the Senate Hall, where participants observed the proceedings of a Senate session and received in-depth explanations about legislative practices and the functioning of the upper house.

Members of the Young Lawyers Association described the tour as highly informative and beneficial, stating that the experience would significantly enhance their legal knowledge and professional skills. They expressed gratitude to the Senate officials for facilitating the visit and emphasized that such educational opportunities play a vital role in guiding and training young legal professionals.
