Youth Innovation Shines at Islamabad National Pitch Fest

Youth-led innovation from Swat highlighted important social initiatives at the National Pitch Fest held in Islamabad, featuring young changemakers presenting their enterprises dedicated to solving real-world challenges such as eco-tourism development, access to clean water, biodiversity conservation, and women’s empowerment.

The event showcased 30 remarkable young innovators from Swat, who shared pioneering initiatives addressing pressing societal and environmental issues. These entrepreneurs highlighted various transformative social enterprise models aimed at sustainable community development.

Key focus areas included promoting eco-tourism initiatives designed to foster environmental sustainability while encouraging local economic growth. Youth entrepreneurs also showcased innovative projects intended to improve communities’ access to clean drinking water, addressing a significant health and development challenge in the region.

Moreover, participants spotlighted ventures aimed at biodiversity conservation, underlining a commitment to protect natural ecosystems and wildlife through strategic, youth-driven initiatives. Additionally, several enterprises focused on women’s empowerment, highlighting their efforts to increase women’s economic inclusion, skill development, and social participation.

The National Pitch Fest was organized by Hashoo Foundation in collaboration with UNODC Pakistan and NACTA. The program received financial support from the European Union in Pakistan, underscoring the importance of collaborative partnerships in empowering youth-led societal change.
