On December 22, 2025 the Young Parliamentarians Forum held a YPF meeting with the Shaoor Foundation for Education & Awareness at Parliament House in Islamabad, chaired by Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, MNA. The session focused on operationalising a recently approved joint work plan aimed at strengthening youth initiatives across Pakistan.
President YPF Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar stressed the forum’s commitment to empowering young people through targeted collaborative action and announced that YPF will nominate youth ambassadors from universities to actively counter polarization, misinformation, disinformation and drug proliferation. The announcement underlines the role of student leadership in community outreach and resilience building.
Deliberations during the YPF meeting covered key pillars of the work plan, including the strengthening of networking forums for youth leaders, capacity building programmes for legislators, organising a grand dialogue with youth representatives, launching public awareness campaigns, amplifying social media efforts and pursuing legislative interventions to address gaps in youth-related laws. These measures are intended to create coordinated platforms for youth engagement at both federal and provincial levels.
Special attention was paid to pressing challenges such as drug eradication, reducing societal polarization, promoting the ethical use of artificial intelligence and combating misinformation and disinformation. Shaoor Foundation for Education & Awareness shared proven strategies for execution, highlighting innovative approaches to skill-building, community mobilisation and local outreach that can be scaled across university campuses and districts.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to timely implementation and measurable outcomes, reflecting a unified vision to foster informed, engaged and resilient youth capable of driving national progress. Participants emphasised that effective monitoring and collaboration between YPF and SFEA will be essential to translate the joint work plan into tangible results for communities across Pakistan.
