A delegation from the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan joined the Sustainable Textile Platform matchmaking in Karachi and visited Yunus Textiles, one of IKEA’s largest suppliers in Pakistan.
Delegates walked through the integrated textile mill, observing stitching lines, design studios and product development departments that underpin the factory’s output. The visit highlighted practical steps taken on the shop floor to improve resource use and product quality.
Yunus Textiles demonstrated initiatives that link sustainability with innovation, from material choices to process planning, showing how international partnerships can reinforce local industry standards and export readiness in Pakistan.
