Over 120 members of the National Press Club attended the event, creating an inclusive atmosphere with children and spouses present alongside media professionals.
Speakers acknowledged the significant contributions of the Christian journalist community to Pakistanβs media landscape and highlighted their role in fostering responsible journalism and social cohesion. The presence of senior figures reinforced the eventβs message of dialogue and inclusion: Mr. Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting; Dr. Fazal ur Rehman, Country Representative Zakat Foundation of America; Ms. Shazia Rizwan, Member Punjab Assembly and Coordinator to the Chief Minister of Punjab; Jawad Tariq, DIG Operations; Naveed Anwar, President Chicago Chamber of Commerce; Afzal Butt, President PFUJ; and Sardar Tahir Mahmood, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce.
Zakat Foundation Pakistan hosted an honorary dinner and distributed gifts and cash support to journalists, their families, and children as a gesture of appreciation and practical solidarity.
