Mohabbat Bin Zahir Khan, vice chairman of Zahir Khan & Brothers Engineers and Contractors (ZKB), marked the coinciding observances of Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Pakistan’s Defense Day by urging national unity, praising the Prophet Muhammad and reiterating the company’s commitment to Pakistan. Speaking at a special ceremony, he emphasized the need to move beyond sectarian and linguistic divisions, praised the armed forces’ past sacrifices, and outlined ZKB’s development and philanthropic plans.
Khan described the convergence of the religious celebration and the national day as deeply meaningful, saying the life and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad inspire service and moral conduct. He stressed that the nation should draw lessons from the Prophet’s example as it confronts contemporary challenges.
Recalling the historic bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces during a surprise enemy attack, Khan praised their courage and called on citizens to support the military as the country’s lifeblood. He urged Pakistanis to follow the guidance of Quaid-e-Azam and to abandon sectarianism and linguistic divisions in favor of unity and collective responsibility.
Turning to his company, Khan outlined ZKB’s origins in Balochistan and said the firm has consistently invested its resources within Pakistan. He noted that ZKB’s projects are carried out to international standards and that the company employs more than fifty thousand workers. Khan said ZKB is interested in delivering government projects through partnerships and announced the launch of the Noor Nama Foundation, which will focus on education, health and employment initiatives.
Khan concluded by distancing ZKB from partisan politics, stressing that the company has no affiliation with any political party and holds no political ambitions.
