The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has transferred three well-equipped ambulances to its Punjab branch to bolster flood response efforts across the region. The move aims to strengthen emergency medical services and ensure faster, life-saving assistance reaches vulnerable communities affected by floods.
The handover was carried out on the instructions of PRCS Chairperson Farzhana Naek. Acting on her guidance, the national headquarters prepared and dispatched the ambulances to support disaster response capacity in Punjab.
Secretary General Muhammad Abaid Ullah Khan officially handed the ambulances to Mian Muhammad Hanif, Chairman of the PRCS Punjab Branch. The vehicles are intended to be deployed across different areas of Punjab to improve the society’s ability to respond quickly to flood-related emergencies.
PRCS described the transfer as a reaffirmation of its commitment to providing timely humanitarian support to the most vulnerable communities. The ambulances will complement ongoing relief operations and enhance medical and evacuation capabilities during flood incidents.
