ITCN Asia Karachi returns as Pakistan’s largest IT and telecom expo and conference, bringing international delegations, investors, startups and policymakers together to showcase innovations, forge strategic partnerships and boost the country’s digital economy. The 26th edition, organized by E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd., will be staged at the Karachi Expo Centre and opens under the patronage of the federal government’s technology initiatives.
Organizers say the event is being presented in partnership with the Ministry of IT and Telecom’s Tech Destination Pakistan initiative and has received endorsement from the Special Investment Facilitation Council, reflecting strong public-private alignment to advance Pakistan’s technology agenda. The opening ceremony will be led by the federal minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Last year’s edition produced about half a billion dollars in memoranda of understanding, and organizers expect this year’s forum to generate even larger deals and new collaboration opportunities across sectors. The expo aims to accelerate investment, commercial partnerships and job creation in the ICT sector.
A wide range of international delegations will attend, with official contingents from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United States and Australia among others. Organizers expect representation from more than 25 countries and more than 50,000 participants, including tech leaders, startup founders, investors, policymakers and diplomats.
The exhibition will feature over 700 exhibitors and more than 100 senior foreign delegates across national pavilions, major technology firms and emerging startups. Key focus areas include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, e‑commerce and 5G technologies, with programming designed to promote networking, knowledge exchange and business development.
Muhammad Umair Nizam, Group Director of E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan, described the IT sector as an engine of economic transformation, citing its role in driving exports, attracting billions in investment and creating employment opportunities for young Pakistanis.
Building on a 25-year legacy, ITCN Asia has hosted delegations from major economies, successfully shifted to virtual formats during the pandemic and is now returning with hybrid elements to broaden access while restoring in-person engagement. Organizers say the event will highlight the rapid growth of Pakistan’s tech ecosystem and provide a platform for international collaboration and commercial expansion.
