China relief reaches Pakistan via NDMA with two flights delivering 300 tents and 9,000 blankets to aid flood-hit families in Punjab.

Two Chinese relief flights carrying 300 tents and 9,000 blankets landed today at Nur Khan Air Base, Rawalpindi, as China relief delivered through NDMA to bolster support for families displaced by recent monsoon floods in Punjab.

The reception ceremony at the air base was attended by Federal Minister Engr. Amir Muqam as Chief Guest, Chairman NDMA Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Mr. Jiang Zaidong and representatives of MOFA and NDMA, who oversaw the handover of the consignments.

Federal Minister Amir Muqam expressed deep gratitude to the Government and people of China for the timely assistance, saying the contribution will provide much-needed relief to thousands of flood-affected families. He highlighted that Pakistan, under the leadership of the Prime Minister and with NDMA at the forefront, is mobilizing all available resources for swift relief and recovery operations.

The Minister added that China’s contribution is both humanitarian aid and a reaffirmation of enduring ties, describing the Pakistan-China friendship as higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the ocean and stronger than steel. The NDMA said the shipment will augment ongoing relief efforts in flood-hit districts and support rehabilitation plans coordinated with provincial authorities and friendly partners.
