Islamabad: Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal was given a detailed briefing on healthcare outsourcing options in a meeting attended by the Secretary Health, Additional Secretary and the Joint Secretary (Hospitals) along with technical experts and consultants.
Consultants outlined a range of outsourcing models designed to make hospital and clinical services more effective, transparent and aligned with modern standards. The proposals focused on improving operational efficiency and patient experience while controlling costs through structured healthcare outsourcing arrangements.
The minister issued clear directions that the public must be provided with quality, low-cost and easily accessible medical services. He emphasized that well-planned public private partnership frameworks can help build a stronger and more sustainable health system across the federal network.
Officials were asked to examine the presented models with attention to transparency, cost-effectiveness and scalability so that selected healthcare outsourcing solutions can be implemented in a way that benefits communities nationwide and strengthens overall hospital management.
