On October 8, 2025 the Department of Zoology organized a seminar focused on Breast Cancer Awareness to promote health consciousness and encourage early detection among students and faculty members.
The guest speaker, Dr. Samina Naeem Khalid, Professor and Head of the Maternal and Child Health Department at Health Services Academy, delivered an insightful presentation highlighting prevention strategies and the importance of timely diagnosis. She stressed regular screening and self-examination, particularly for women, as key measures to address the growing incidence of breast cancer in Pakistan.
Attendees were reminded of practical steps for early detection and the value of health education on campus. The seminar concluded with a note of appreciation from Dr. Samina Qamer, Head of the Department of Zoology, who thanked the guest speaker for her valuable contribution to advancing Breast Cancer Awareness and prevention efforts.
