Government Raises Fuel Prices Nationwide

Fuel prices rise for 15 days as petrol jumps Rs2.43 to Rs265.45 and diesel Rs3.02 to Rs278.44, effective from midnight.

The Finance Division announced an increase in fuel prices for the next 15 days, notifying revised retail rates for petrol and diesel across the country.

Petrol has been raised by Rs2.43 per litre and will retail at Rs265.45 per litre. Diesel has been increased by Rs3.02 per litre and is now set at Rs278.44 per litre, according to the notice issued by the Finance Division.

The change in fuel prices takes effect from midnight and will apply for the specified 15-day period, affecting motorists and transport operators nationwide while the revised rates remain in force.
