How SAP Is Driving Digital Growth Across Pakistan’s Key Sectors

The Ministry of Finance, Pakistan Railways, and the power sector are among several key public and private sector institutions in Pakistan that are reaping significant benefits from SAP’s advanced digital platforms, according to Saquib Ahmad, Country Managing Director for SAP in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bahrain. Ahmad highlighted how the ongoing push to modernize Pakistan’s economy aligns closely with SAP’s mission to transform businesses into intelligent digital enterprises.

Saquib Ahmad emphasized that the country’s private sector is rapidly embracing SAP’s technology to boost productivity, efficiency, and innovation. He noted that the government’s strong digital agenda, under the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is creating a favorable environment for businesses to upgrade their systems and processes. By integrating intelligent digital solutions, SAP is helping organizations across Pakistan achieve sustainable growth and long-term stability.

In the public sector, several high-profile institutions are already adopting SAP’s solutions to enhance operational excellence. The Ministry of Finance relies on SAP platforms for the national budget-making process, while the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues uses SAP systems to manage pension disbursements. Pakistan Railways employs SAP technology in its ticketing and scheduling systems. Additionally, industries such as textiles and power are leveraging SAP’s systems to drive greater efficiency and resilience.

Companies such as MG Motors, Aramco (GNO), and Orient Materials shared their success stories, demonstrating tangible improvements in productivity and competitiveness through SAP solutions.
