On 12 November 2025 the Punjab Highway Patrol in the Rawalpindi region, operating under the supervision of Regional Officer SP Faisal Saleem, carried out targeted checkpoints using modern tools to locate wanted criminals. Leveraging the E-Police App, Kotkay post personnel intercepted and arrested three dangerous proclaimed offenders who were wanted in serious cases across multiple districts.

In the first operation a proclaimed offender sought in Taxila under FIR 1354/25 registered for offences including 324, 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code was taken into custody and handed over to Hazro police for further proceedings. The second arrest involved a suspect wanted in Sindh’s Dadu district under FIR 5/22 for offences including 324, 349, 148 and 149 at Gatti Jatoi police station.

The third arrested accused, a resident of Haripur, was wanted in South Karachi’s Artillery Maidan under FIR 54/21 for dacoity with weapons under sections 393, 397 and 34. All three detained proclaimed offenders have been transferred to the respective investigating police units to carry forward legal action.

The Highway Patrol emphasised that continued use of technology such as the E-Police App strengthens on-ground patrols and surveillance across the Rawalpindi region, aiding timely arrests and contributing to the protection of lives and property. Authorities said effective coordination and technological support will remain central to ongoing operations against organised and violent crime.
