First aid training empowered 50 nursing students in Lahore with CPR, bleeding control and emergency response skills to act confidently in critical moments.

PRCS Punjab Branch organised a two-day basic first aid training and CPR course at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Lahore, where 50 students gained practical skills to respond to medical emergencies.

The sessions included CPR, bleeding control, wound and burn management and first aid for unconscious, choked and heart-compromised patients, with hands-on practice to reinforce techniques and build confidence for real-life situations.

Certificates were presented by the Principal of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, who praised the studentsโ€™ dedication and emphasised the importance of emergency readiness in the healthcare sector, noting that targeted first aid training is essential for frontline responders and emerging nursing professionals.

By strengthening a culture of safety on campus and in clinical settings across Lahore, the initiative prepares young healthcare workers to act decisively when every second counts and supports broader efforts to improve emergency care in Pakistan.
