Binance visit sees senior executives meet Pakistan leadership as government reaffirms strong commitment to digital asset regulations

Binance senior leadership, including global CEO Richard Teng, travelled to Islamabad for high-level talks aimed at advancing dialogue on digital assets and regulation. The Binance visit underlined the exchange’s intent to engage directly with Pakistani authorities on the evolving regulatory framework.

The delegation met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. During the discussions the government reiterated a strong commitment to establish clear rules for digital assets, emphasising regulatory certainty and consumer protection as priorities.

Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority Bilal Bin Saqib attended the meeting and briefed the delegation on his authority’s performance. The briefing outlined ongoing regulatory work and highlighted areas for cooperation between regulators and industry as Pakistan advances its approach to digital asset oversight.
