Prof Iqbal Choudhary wins Hakim Said Award 2025 for his contributions to science, education and traditional medicine across the OIC region.

H.E. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator-General of OIC-COMSTECH, has been honoured with the Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said Award 2025 in science and education in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research and innovation.

The award was presented by Governor Punjab H.E. Sardar Saleem Haider Khan during a ceremony at Governor House, Lahore, organised by Hamdard Pakistan. Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chairperson of Hamdard Pakistan, attended the event as a distinguished guest.

Prof. Dr. Choudhary is internationally recognised for leadership in natural-product chemistry, medicinal plant research and traditional medicine innovation. His decades-long scientific work and global collaborations have significantly advanced knowledge and practice across the OIC region, and the Hakim Said Award 2025 further acknowledges his role in integrating traditional healing with modern scientific discovery.
