The first group of Pakistani Hajj pilgrims from Karachi arrived in Madinah today, where 155 travellers were warmly received by senior mission officials upon disembarkation. Director General Hajj Jeddah Abdul Wahab Soomro, Director Madinah Zahid Sohail, Coordinator Madinah Kashif Hussain and Director Makkah Muhammad Arif Aslam Rao personally welcomed the pilgrims to ensure a dignified start to their journey.
Flowers and gifts marked the arrival as traditional Saudi welcome songs and the rhythmic duff set a spiritual tone for those taking part in the Pakistani Hajj. The reception combined cultural warmth with practical assistance to help pilgrims transition smoothly from travel to ritual preparations.
Officials arranged immediate accommodation in quality residences in the Markaziyah area and issued Nusuk cards on arrival to facilitate movement and the performance of rites. Refreshments including dates and drinks were served, followed by a high-quality breakfast, with senior officials supervising every stage to maintain service standards for the Pakistani Hajj contingent.
Pilgrims expressed satisfaction with arrangements made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Pakistan Hajj Mission, praising the organised support from departure in Pakistan through to their stay in Madinah. The positive reception and prompt services were noted as important for a comfortable and focused pilgrimage experience.
Authorities said similar coordinated arrangements are in place for upcoming flights, with close collaboration between mission staff and local departments to ensure each arriving pilgrim receives timely assistance, accommodation and all necessary facilities for the Pakistani Hajj.
