Authorities registered 274 cases under various provisions including the Pakistan Penal Code, Arms Ordinance and Narcotics Act, reflecting focused action on criminal violations and regulatory offences.
Traffic enforcement remained a priority with the Punjab Highway Police issuing 34,292 challans for violations during the month, aimed at improving road safety and compliance among motorists. In addition to enforcement, officers provided direct assistance to the travelling public, helping 464 distressed citizens with vehicle breakdowns, accidents and other on-road emergencies.
Anti-crime operations delivered tangible results as the Punjab Highway Police arrested 274 suspects, recovered 46 cartridges and retrieved stolen property including 2 vehicles and 3 motorcycles. Law enforcement teams also intensified measures against proclaimed offenders and court absconders, tightening the noose on fugitives moving through the region’s highways.
