PFF completes first Student Mental Health workshop at Beaconhouse Juniper in Quetta under Football4MentalHealth Pakistan pilot, empowering young ambassadors.

The Pakistan Football Federation has completed the first Student Mental Health Ambassador Programme workshop at the Beaconhouse School System Juniper Campus in Quetta as part of the Football4MentalHealth Pakistan pilot. The initiative, organised in collaboration with the UN Youth Office and UN Pakistan, focused on strengthening Student Mental Health among school communities in Balochistan.

The session blended football activities with guided conversations about emotional well-being and peer support, introducing practical ways for young people to recognise and respond to mental health concerns among their classmates. By combining sport and psychosocial learning, organisers aimed to make Student Mental Health topics more accessible and relatable for students.

PFF officials and representatives from the Balochistan Football Association observed the workshop as participants began their journey as Mental Health Ambassadors. Students received encouragement to lead peer support efforts and to open respectful, informed dialogue on mental health issues within their school and local communities.

The Beaconhouse Juniper workshop marks an important first step in the Football4MentalHealth Pakistan pilot, signalling a community-centred approach to Student Mental Health that leverages football’s reach to promote emotional resilience and peer-led support across Quetta and beyond.
