IBCC and KUST Hold Workshop on Digital Assessment

IBCC and KUST held a one-day workshop on digital assessment to train KP university exam staff in e-exams, secure paper setting and question bank management.

The Inter Boards Coordination Commission and Kohat University of Science and Technology hosted a one-day workshop on digital assessment and e-examination at KUST, Kohat on 17 December 2025 to strengthen examination capacity across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event focused on modern e-examination systems, secure question-paper setting and centralized question bank management in line with national and international standards.

Sessions were led by Executive Director IBCC Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah alongside Prof. Dr. Zafar Ilyas, Vice Chancellor KUST, Mr. Muhammad Shafiq, Consultant on Examination Reforms at IBCC, and Mr. Muhammad Kashif, Deputy Director IBCC. Speakers demonstrated technical workflows for e-exams and shared best practices for maintaining integrity and reliability in digital assessment.

Faculty members and representatives from examination sections of universities and boards across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended and engaged in in-depth discussions on technology-enabled assessments and examination reforms. Participants examined procedures for secure paper setting, central paper bank governance and approaches to ensure transparent, quality-based evaluation systems.

Organisers said the workshop aimed to build practical skills among academic and examination staff and to promote standardised digital assessment processes across the province. The collaborative initiative is expected to accelerate adoption of e-examination platforms and improve the security and fairness of assessments in higher education institutions in the region.
