The Rawalpindi police carried out targeted operations against gangs involved in dacoity, motorcycle theft and other thefts, arresting 10 suspects linked to five different gangs and recovering a substantial haul of stolen property.
Officers recovered 16 stolen motorcycles along with a gas meter, a battery and weapons. Authorities also seized Rs46,000 believed to be proceeds from the sale of snatched mobile phones. These recoveries followed coordinated actions by multiple police stations across the division.
Ratta Amral police arrested six suspects associated with three gangs and recovered seven stolen motorcycles, the cash from phone sales of Rs46,000, a gas meter and weapons. Pir Wadhai police apprehended a two-member gang and recovered five stolen motorcycles, while Ganjmandi police detained another two-member group and recovered four stolen motorcycles and one battery.
Rawalpindi police said that the arrested individuals will be presented before court with solid evidence. The police reiterated that those who attack citizens or target their property will not escape the law and that sustained enforcement will continue to disrupt organised theft networks in the division.
