Marie Stopes Pakistan showcased family planning and outreach at the PGMI conference, promoting preventive healthcare and expanding medical camps.

Marie Stopes Pakistan participated in the Multi-Disciplinary Medical Conference 2026 at the Post Graduate Medical Institute in Peshawar, an event convened by the Pakistan Medical Association under the theme In Prevention Lies Our Salvation. The gathering brought together healthcare leaders, medical professionals, students, pharmaceutical partners and civil society to strengthen dialogue on preventive healthcare and collaborative action across the province.

At the conference, Marie Stopes Pakistan operated an informational stall highlighting its comprehensive family planning and reproductive health services, showcasing community-based outreach through the Roshni Model, SF initiatives and ANSA clinics. The Roshni Van drew significant interest and praise from attendees for its practical role in delivering essential services to rural and hard-to-reach communities.

The visit by the Honorable Minister for Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside members of the Pakistan Medical Association, underscored the longstanding impact of Marie Stopes Pakistan, including more than three decades of contribution to family planning and a notable humanitarian response during flood relief operations in Swat and Buner. The engagement led to constructive discussions about partnerships and formal requests to extend medical camps to underserved districts such as Bannu, Lakki Marwat and South Waziristan.

Participation at the PGMI conference reinforced Marie Stopes Pakistan’s commitment to preventive healthcare, partnership-building and expanding access to quality health services for communities most in need, while opening avenues for collaboration to reach further into rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
