Laptop Distribution under the Youth Laptop Scheme equips students at Quaid i Azam University while officials pledge support for campus development and Vision 2027.

A Laptop Distribution event at Quaid i Azam University was held under the Youth Laptop Scheme launched as part of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s academic manifesto. The ceremony saw the distribution of laptops to the university’s promising students and highlighted renewed government attention to higher education in the capital.

Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi attended as the special guest and, while addressing the gathering, described Quaid i Azam University as a source of national pride that will receive priority in government actions. He assured the vice chancellor of practical support and reiterated the government’s position on returning university land to its rightful administration, promising to liberate campus property from illegal occupation. He said Islamabad is incomplete without a thriving Quaid i Azam University and announced plans under Vision 2027 to develop an Islamabad University Town offering enhanced academic and research facilities to students from across Pakistan.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar thanked the government and the special guest for supporting the initiative and for providing the Laptop Distribution to deserving students. He noted the university’s recent national ranking that placed Quaid i Azam University among the country’s top institutions and reiterated his commitment to raising academic and research standards. The vice chancellor expressed gratitude on behalf of faculty, staff and students for the continued cooperation.

The event was attended by senior university leadership including Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences Professor Dr Tasawur Hayat, Dean Faculty of Biological Sciences Professor Dr Irfan Zia Qureshi, Registrar Dr Shafiq ur Rehman, along with university officers, faculty members and a large number of students who benefitted from the Youth Laptop Scheme and the ongoing focus on campus development.
