The delegation from the Johor State Legislative Assembly arrived in Karachi on 02 February 2026 to take part in the 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference and the 2nd Joint CPA Asia & South-East Asia Regional Conference, hosted by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 3 to 7 February.
The Johor Assembly visit is led by Speaker Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Puad Bin Zarkashi. Accompanying him are his spouse Dr Rubiah Leman, Assembly Secretary Mohd Ezwan Abdul Ghani, observer Member Khairul Hazwan Bin Mohamad, and members Datuk Mohd Yasla Bin Ismail and Datuk Mohd Fuad Bin Tukirin. The delegation will join parliamentary colleagues across the region to discuss issues on the CPA Asia agenda.
Members arrived at Jinnah International Airport Karachi and were received by Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro. The reception underscores the ongoing parliamentary engagement between Malaysia and Pakistan and sets the stage for discussions during the conference.
The presence of the Johor Assembly delegation in Karachi highlights the province’s active role in regional parliamentary cooperation. Participation in the CPA Asia events offers an opportunity for the Johor Assembly to exchange best practices and strengthen legislative ties within South and Southeast Asia.
